Our Broadcast Communications Division (BCD) is looking for a Marketing Communications Leader to lead the development of external messages, programs, and Marketing Communications efforts to align with the vision and mission of the division, including: consistency with market expectations and requirements, competitive differentiation within all product segments, corporate alignment, and creatively determining promotional campaigns, in conjunction with publications, to highlight key promotions / messages for sales.
Develop and implement an effective global marketing communications and PR
Manage MarCom launch and program schedules and implementation efforts for BCD's global product portfolio.
Oversees the preparation of collateral and other materials to support sales and overall awareness of the organization's products and services.
Launch efforts around tradeshows and special events, key campaigns and focus points for the division that support the businesses.
Continue to improve our Internet presence through graphical and navigational improvements.
Enhance the messaging strategy.
Provide a clear plan for integrating communications tactics into an enhanced, division-wide, new product introduction plan.
Develop and implement a strategy to better align marketing communications expectations and enhance efficiency with the business units and sales regions.
Develop and manage implementation of MarCom audits and quantifiable measurement tactics for programs, seeking continuous improvement on all MarCom efforts.
Support corporate-wide public relation and branding initiatives as requested.
Provide leadership in the area of people development and succession planning.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field. 10 years experience in Marketing Communications and Public Relations/
Global Marketing Communications experience is required.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Masters degree preferred.
Successful track record leading marketing programs directly to the customer community as well as through a direct sales organization.
Demonstrated ability to develop creative approaches to campaign development, design, and differentiation within global markets.
Understand objectives and Marketing Communications tactics, styles, and programs for various markets and segments.
Ability to understand the product technologies, key trends and customer needs addressed by Harris' products and services.
Ability to effectively operate in a matrix organization.
Excellent conceptual, verbal and written communications skills, specifically in technical material development.
Broadcast industry knowledge and experience or high-tech industry background preferred.
Effective leadership skills, including but not limited to: [1] Change management capabilities, [2] Demonstrated ability to acquire, build and develop organizational talent, [3] Ability to operate in a matrix structure, including influencing at all levels, [4] Effectively managed direct and indirect reports in multiple locations.
